To Our Dear Lucky

A Poem for Lucky
Special Friend
We lost a special friend today
the kind you can't replace
and looking at his empty bed
we still can see his face.
We see the endless energy
the sweet sparkling eyes
Not the tired, fragile friend
We had to bid goodbye.
We know he's in a special place
our Lord has for such friends,
Where meadows, fields & flowers
help make them strong and whole again.
We've noticed in the recent times
His ears were not as sharp,
Where is that running ball of fur
The years had shown their mark.
Our Lucky was a special dog
We know he gave his best,
But as we looked deep into his eyes
We knew it was time for him to rest.
It will truly be a struggle
I don't know how we'll face each day,
So with our very special friend
We send our prayers his way.
We know he'll watch over us
He'll be with us when we cry,
So with one more kiss on his beloved head
Grambug told our Lucky Dog goodbye.
Thank you Lucky - we love you and we will always miss you!

Sweet Aunt Angela

Despite the pain and cramping, Angela did her best to keep Lily's and Kate's head in place while they napped during a long car ride this past weekend. Thank you Aunt Angela!

Sleeping Beauty

Kate woke up around 4:45 a.m. this morning and was ready to get up and play. By the time 7:30 rolled around when it was time to leave for school, she decided it was time for some rest. While I was in the bathroom she fell asleep in this position. Oh, the joys and sleep deprivation of children. If she weren't so darn cute, we would have woken her up.

Easter Decorations

When digging out our Easter decorations from the storage room for this year, the girls discovered the fun they can have with a rubbermaid container filled with packing peanuts. Makes me question why I spend money on toys:)
